Pointe of Grace is welcoming to all children. Every Sunday morning, there is a Children’s Message as part of the worship service. Kids are welcome to participate in all aspects of worship, including leading worship as acolytes, crucifer, readers, ushers and more. Worship is a place for everyone to feel welcome and a part of the community. We invite families to bring quiet items from home for engagement for children during worship. Children do make “holy noise” and we encourage their voices during all aspects of worship, especially during prayers and music time.
During the school year, registered students will receive a weekly email for the weekly lessons. This is a small video, a devotion, instructions for crafts at home, a song, and a family prayer. Families can engage this weekly lesson at their convenience – we know life is busy! Children’s ministry leadership will have monthly ZOOM connections with families beyond these weekly recorded lessons.
Family Ministry
Families are important to Pointe of Grace…and family is what we are. Every family looks different, and no two are the same. Some families consist of one parent/guardian, or multiple. Some families are blended, and some families are brand new, finding their way along this messing journey. Families can be a single person, to a family of 10+. All are part of God’s family and all are welcome! At Pointe of Grace we offer events and gatherings for families throughout the year.
We look forward to your participation in Family events such as:
- Summer Sunday Strolls and Wilderness Wednesday Hikes
- The Kitchen Garden Family Fun Nights
- The Annual Trunk-or-Treat at Halloween and Outing to the Pumpkin Patch
- Thanksgiving & Christmas Celebrations….and so much more
If you would like to help plan events for Family Ministry, please contact the church office or pastor.
Youth Ministry
Pointe of Grace realizes that friendships are important in helping students attend worship and youth group. Friendships can be from any generation, and we commonly have “church grandparents” who take youth under their wings….even parents! All youth are encouraged and invited to participate fully in worship including being worship leaders. Pointe of Grace is a community of Christ who knows no limits for the love and grace of God to be shown to each other. Our Youth group is growing, and we are excited to welcome all Middle & High School Youth and their friends. *All participants must have a Permission & Conduct Form on file with the church per school year, for any off campus trips which might happen from time to time (like walking up to Starbucks). Forms are here.
Beginning January 2022, Youth Group meets on the second Sunday of each month, directly following worship. We will have conversation, devotions on scripture, games and activities, an occasional service project, and prayers for each other and our community. Parents are welcome to volunteer in the Youth Ministry, but must go through Safe Haven training. All adults who work with minors must go through a background check and Safe Haven training.
Young Adult Ministry
Young Adult ministry is for those who are seniors in high school and through the college years. These formative years of finding one’s vocation in the world as well as figuring out who you are, is easier when surrounded by a faith-filled community. Young Adults receive regular messages for meet-ups and care-packages. We strive to connect college students to campus ministries and a local church which fits their faith needs. Please contact the church office to get connected to the Young Adult Ministry.

Safe Haven Policy
Pointe of Grace is committed to providing not only a safe place for kids and vulnerable adults, but also volunteers who are safe and reliable. All volunteers working with minors and vulnerable adults are required to do Safe Haven Training including a background check. We take kids’ safety seriously here at Pointe of Grace, and want to provide a safe place for disclosures to be taken seriously too. In person training (role-play for what to do when a disclosure happens) will happen twice a year, background forms are listed below (please print and fill out at home and bring into the office), and online training is available via pre-recording. All Safe Haven backgrounds and trainings are good for two years.
